MSc Susann Parsche
Research Interests
Currently I am interested in the evolution of virulence in parasite-host interactions using Bombus terrestris and its intestinal parasite Crithidia bombi (Trypanosomatidae) as a model system. My PhD project focuses on the question how the host population structure influences the evolution of virulence in a parasite species.
In the past I have dealt with neobiota, plant-insect interactions and the consequences of human-induced environmental change. In general I am also interested in the preservation of biodiversity and chemical ecology.
