Dr. Wolf has left our group in March 2011.
Research interests
Generally, I'm interested in behavioural and population ecology and its evolutionary basis.
I worked on the defence behaviour of an African King Cricket (Onosandrus spec.; Orthoptera: Anostostomatidae), a nocturnal and slow moving insect, where defecating and its potential role as detergent for predators was of interest.
Currently, my studies focus on various aspects of Bumblebee ecology, where I utilize a combination of classical field methods (e.g. mark-recapture) and molecular methods (e.g. microsatellite and mtDNA analyses for population genetics) to investigate bumblebees population dynamics, foraging behaviour and pollination service.
