Research Interests

My PhD project is based on parasite-host interactions in the Maculinea-Myrmica system.
Larvae of Maculinea butterfly parasitise the colonies of Myrmica ants, the target species of my study are Maculinea nausithous and Maculinea teleius. The goal of my research is to understand the dynamics between these very rare butterflies with their host-ant species at the physiological, behavioral and genetic levels.
